The Oikos bulk liquid storage terminal on Canvey Island offers fast and flexible road loading facilities for onward distribution of fuels by road tanker. Through ongoing investment in the latest infrastructure, the facility can now offer road rack loading rates of 2,200 litres per arm per minute and an average gate-to-gate turnaround time of around 20 minutes.
The facility’s three road loading bays include a new state-of-the-art bay, featuring additive injection to allow a range of diesel grades to be supplied according to customer demand, two new additive tanks, a best-in-class additivation rack system and new large and small-bore pipework. In addition, our advanced road loading system incorporates Accuload equipment to measure volumes and Fuel-Facs software and distributive control systems to manage loading. The new systems also produce HMRC-compliant paperwork.
In addition to specialist fuel storage, the Oikos terminal on Canvey Island is purpose-designed to provide blending for biofuels into retail mix grades. The terminal offers full HMRC compliance for retail mix, heating oil and jet a1 products.
